Guest Contributor:
Nonprofits, NGOs, Businesses, Authors, Bloggers and Experts… If you work at or run an organization that is related to sustainability or the environment and you have a particular expertise to share then we welcome you to become a guest contributor.
As a guest contributor, you are given a platform to share your expertise and spread your organization’s message. We don’t allow businesses to write about or market their own products directly but as a business owner or representative, your business will be featured in your profile and at the end of your articles. Also, if you are a regular contributor and you business is doing or creating something news worthy, we will be happy to have someone else on the team share the news.
Volunteer Contributor:
If you have a talent for writing and a passion for environmental or social issues then volunteering to write for LiveOAK Media is a great way to have your voice heard. Writing for us will provide you with a vehicle to have your voice heard, learn from a creative and skilled team of writers and editors, and make connections with other leaders in the industry.
Volunteer Contributor’s are not directly paid for their work but they are eligible for bonuses, and are the first to be considered when a paid position opens. All of our current editorial team started out as volunteers.
Freelance Contributor:
Freelance contributors are paid per article and are eligible for bonuses when they are available. Our Freelance Contributor positions are offered to our most committed and successful Volunteer Contributors. In some instances we will hire a Freelance Contributor who is not already writing for us if they are an experienced journalist or pro-blogger.
Currently our Freelance Contributors start at $5 per post plus a $1.50 CPM. What is CPM? CPM is Cost Per Mille or Cost Per 1000 impressions. Basically this means you’ll get $1.50 for every 1000 times your article is viewed.
Currently all of our paid positions are filled, but if money’s not an issue and you are a great writer we’d love for you to join the team!
We are also interested in other types of media contributions including but not limited to: Videos, Comics, Infographics, Art, Tutorials… any interesting way to report the news or advance the principals of sustainability.
